People's deputies of Ukraine adopted bill №3442 "On Amendments to the Labor Code of Ukraine (concerning the harmonization of legislation in the sphere of combating discrimination in accordance with the EU law)."
234 deputies voted for the decision.The bill provides the prohibition of discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity in the Labor Code.
Note: that these changes will be incorporated in the current Labour Code.We remind that the activists staged a rally outside the Verkhovna Rada with the requirement to adopt a package of "visa-free" laws. The adoption of this bill is a crucial requirement of the European Commission to launch the visa-free regime with the EU.
