Olena Globa, Chairman of the parents’ organization TERGO, became a member of the Coordinating body of the European organization of parents of LGBT children
On 12 May in Brussels, was the meeting of organizations of parents having LGBTIQ children held. The meeting took place in the European office of one of the oldest and most influential LGBTIQ organizations ILGA Europe (the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association).
The agenda included the creation of an organization that would bring together organizations of parents of LGBTIQ people at European level and would improve the interaction between them.
Olena Globa, Chairman of the parents’ organization TERGO, was elected a member of the coordinating body, which consists of six people.
"As for me, it is a great honor and also a challenge to participate in the birth and development of the international organization of parents with LGBTIQ-children. After having entered the coordinating organ, I have the opportunity to promote parents' ideas of cooperation for the sake of equality and freedom of our children and I will use this opportunity to ensure safety for our children, " said Olena Globa.
During the meeting the mission, the vision and the plan of activities of the organization until 2017 were worked out.
